One great benefit to eating slowly is that you will actually taste your food. When your meal lasts longer, you’ll experience more of the flavors, textures and aromas of the food you eat. You'll learn to appreciate your food more.
It takes your stomach about 20 minutes to tell your brain that you're full. If you slow down, you give yourself more time to feel full and stop before you are "stuffed"!
Take in less calories!
While you are slowing down, you'll learn to stop eating sooner. You'll notice that you don’t need, or even want, that last bite. Less food, less calories, less fat!.
